Terhi Koskinen here sharing some last minute Christmas inspiration for you. Sit back, take your scraps and left overs and let's do some small gift cards!
My idea is to use either ready made tags, and cut yours with scissor or with some kind of tag die if you have one. Mine are cut with tag die, using basic white cardstock to make sure the base is strong enough to carry multiple papers and embellishments on top.
Next to white base is pile of patterned paper scraps. No need to think about size, shape or anything but matching colors. Just cut too big pieces smaller and grab few to create nice collage of papers. You can add some die cuts or doilies between papers, then attach all with a stapler. This way you'll have airy layered gift card!
The ephemera you see here on my tags is from December kit, Crate Paper FaLaLa ephemera pack, I wanted to keep this set with matching look. Of course, if you want, add the gift receivers name on top, that would look fantastic.
As the idea was to do quick and easy gift cards, I didn't add any mixed media to these tags. Instead, to make some soft look I added thread between layers. Red thread is traditional Christmas color, as well as golden thread which will give nice shiny look too. Don't be afraid to try!
I hope you are inspired!
