Hallo und Herzlich Willkommen in der Project Life Werkstatt.

Diesen Monat zeigt euch Emeline, wie sie unser Februar PL- und Filofaxing Kit für ihr aktuelles Project Life nutzt. Viel Spaß dabei!

Hi all!

I’m showcasing my Project Life spread using February’s Project Life Kit. There is a mix of sweet and bold colors in this fun pack kit. Great for crafters who love sweet Valentine’s Day and also great for crafters who love modern, graphic and bold Valentine’s Day elements.

For my project life transparent sleeves, I have the tendency to mix brands. For my spread this month, i mixed American Craft’s 6”x4” pockets (left hand side) with Doodlebug’s pocket sleeves (right hand side). The mix of different sizes appeals to me.

In this post, I made used of the huge roll of Dear Lizzy’s Gold Foil Stickers. These adorable gold foil hearts are 3 inches big and comes in a huge roll which consists of 25 pieces of heart. * I LOVE these golden hearts!* For one of the pockets, I used a white card stock as base and created a "new" background using one of these foil heart stickers. First, I halved the heart and adhered onto the white card stock. White background brings great contrast to gold!

To start off, I put aside my favourite piece of pattern paper (PinkFresh Studio- Happy Words). I love the sentiments in grid style. Although it has many wordings on the piece of pattern paper, I challenged myself to use this pattern paper. Together with the golden heart foil stickers, I assembled and combined it together to create a 6”x12” page (right hand side). In order to not create an overwhelming spread, I adhered two foil hearts and adhered small photos in a grid manner on this section.

By repeating elements, somehow, it brings harmony to a page. I layered gold stickers (also found in February’s Project Life Kit) onto the huge foil gold hearts. Gold layered onto another gold element may give the misconception that elements will loose its contrast. However, i believe it creates an overall seamless look.

Another piece of pattern paper in this kit also caught my attention. Crate paper’s (Hello Love - With You #3680349) has retro photo slides which are really cool! With mint-y colors, coral pinks and red balanced with tinges of grey makes it look good enough to be framed! Each slide on this paper measures 1.75”x1.75”. I printed and cut my photographs according to this size and used a couple of photos on this pattern paper (see right hand spread).

The spunky coloured pockets from Heidi Swapp comes in green and shocking pink which really jazzes things up a notch on my spready. The touch of bright pink totally transform the spread from a sweet 2 page spread to something more contemporary. These pockets where adhered on the exterior of the sleeves and includes extra journaling stripes/ photos etc.

I hope you’ll have a fun time creating your own project life spread this month!
